You Are Worth It

Yes, I’m talking to you. Every single one of you. And I write to you honestly and from the heart.

I have lived life teetering on the edge, and I can tell you it is not a nice place to be. A feeling that you are so not worth it that everyone would be better off without you

I’ve come through the other side and I am one of the lucky ones. I have had a great support system in place and they have enabled me to seek the help I needed.

Anti depressants, mental health workshops, CBT, hypnotherapy.... whatever your sauce is... please just seek help. It worries me, especially muddling on through lockdown in the depths of winter, how many people may be struggling to live through poor mental health and not accessing available services.... or that those lifelines are so busy right now with a waiting list as long as your arm. This is an urgent plea to please talk to someone.... anyone!

Call a friend, a family member, Samaritans or chat on

Something out there will work for you. And I hope in time you rekindle your desire for life, and find joy in the simple things, until you can start being bold again and living your life the way you want to. When you feel able, find something creative to make an outlet for your emotions. Pick up a pen and write, dance like no one is watching, sing, pick up a paintbrush and paint, take photos. Art therapy is truly amazing.

Proudly, I can stand up and say, the biggest reason I have conquered my depression is me! And you can do it to. You just have to try. Please try.
